October Pancake Breakfast – Saturday, October 14

THE PANCAKE BREAKFAST IS COMING BACK! Please mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, October 14th, 2023. Tentative time 8am-12pm in the church hall.
 
For those new to the parish, the pancake breakfast is an all you can eat breakfast that the Junior O’s used to do every year during the Houston Pumpkin Festival as a fundraiser that was available to the general public. We have everything from pancakes to sausage to eggs and you can’t forget about the amazing home fries. Due to Covid and decline in youth numbers, it has been a few years since the last breakfast was held.
 
As a way to help out our community and bring new and old church members together, Elizabeth Sweda and Rachel Royer are restarting the Pancake Breakfast this year during the Houston Pumpkin Festival. We will need volunteers for hosts, servers (prefer kids), and various kitchen/stocking staff. We are hoping to make this a whole church group effort as a way to help build new friendships throughout the church. Please be on the lookout for a sign up sheet in the narthex starting this Sunday for those wishing to volunteer.
 
Proceeds from the breakfast will go to a local emergency service department as a way to say thank you for all the time they devoted during Covid. Also, any first responder eats free! Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under eat free. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Pancake Breakfast Sponsorship Ads

As we have done in years past, we will once again be doing business card ads as a way to help offset food costs and provide advertisement opportunities for local businesses. Business cards will be displayed in a pamphlet that will be at each place setting during the pancake breakfast for visitors to take home. Cost is $25 per business card. 

A new thing we are trying this year is also table sponsors. For $100, a 8 1/2 x 11 sign will be displayed on a designated table with the business’s name/logo for advertisement during the breakfast. There are only 12 available spots for these!

For those wishing to advertise their business or know anyone who might be interested, please see the attached form to this email or paper copies will be available for pick up in the church’s narthex as well starting this Sunday. Please give completed forms (don’t forget to include a business card) to Rachel Royer or Elizabeth Sweda.
